Consider whether LAX is the right airport at all
For a private aviation passenger heading to the Westside or the Valley, Van Nuys or Santa Monica is frequently the better field, and Burbank is better for anything north. We say this to clients regularly: the flight into LAX can be the fastest leg and still produce the slowest journey. If the aircraft has a choice, the choice is worth making on the ground transport rather than the runway.

Los Angeles congestion is closer to constant than peaked. The 405 is busy at 11am on a Tuesday. Planning on a notional off-peak window is how people miss flights in this city, and we quote journey times on observed conditions rather than a schedule.
